Norman Fosters Green Agenda

After the initial experiment of looking at alternative possible purposes for various spaces around the CBD. I watched this Ted talk which instead of finding alternative solutions to existing infrastructure, the talk investigates ways in which buildings can be developed to use minimal energy and how these buildings are able to work with the forces of nature. For example providing wide open spaces that utilize natural light, building structures that allow the buildings to ventilate and almost physically breathe. By doing this energy is not required for cooling systems, artificial light is only used when it is required. All of these aspects are key to developing Wellingtons infrastructure in order to create a pollution free quality of life where we are trying to limit the amount of energy used and the amount of resources consumed in order to produce energy required.
